MFBP · Last updated October 14, 2026

The short version: MFBP doesn't run any servers and doesn't collect your workouts, Health data, or anything else you keep in the app. There's no account and no MFBP backend. By default everything stays on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, Apple Health, or share a workout, your data moves only between Apple's services, your own devices, and the people you choose to send it to. The one thing that ever reaches us is a report or feature request you choose to send from Help & Feedback, and it contains only what's described below.

What we collect

MFBP does not collect your workouts, history, notes, Health data, or any other data you keep in the app. There is no user account, no sign-in, and no MFBP-run backend of any kind.

The only exception is a report or request you choose to send from Help & Feedback. When you tap Send, what you wrote and a few details about the app and your device are delivered to our support inbox through Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send. See Help & feedback reports below for exactly what's included.

Where your data lives

By default, everything you create in MFBP (exercises, workouts, workout history, notes, your Fuel goals, and your Mind check-ins, habits, the nights of sleep you log, and your goals) is stored only on your device, using Apple's local on-device storage. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.

MFBP also offers optional features that use Apple services or move data off your device, described below. None of them sends anything to MFBP or to any server we operate. The only thing MFBP ever sends to us is a report you choose to send, described under Help & feedback reports.

iCloud sync (optional)

If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, MFBP uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your exercises, workouts, history, and progress across your own devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account, encrypted and managed by Apple under your Apple ID. MFBP has no access to it, and it is never sent to us or to any third party. Sync is off by default and takes effect the next time you launch the app after turning it on.

With iCloud sync on, MFBP also keeps your settings in step across your devices using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so a new iPhone or an iPad starts set up the way you left things: which features are on, your Fuel calorie and protein goals, your Mind goals and sleep settings, your planned rest days and training targets, and how Today is laid out. Like the rest of iCloud sync, these are stored in your private iCloud account and never sent to MFBP. They don't include your body weight, your reminders, the habits you track in Mind, or your Health permissions, which each device asks for itself.

iCloud sync never includes Health data: not what MFBP reads from Apple Health, and not the heart rate, calories, or effort ratings your Apple Watch measures during a workout, and not the workouts from other apps that MFBP counts toward your streak. It also doesn't include anything you log in Mind: your check-ins, the habits you track, or the nights of sleep you log. Check-ins and nights you choose to save to Apple Health can reach your other devices only through Apple Health, as described below.

Mind check-ins, habits, sleep and practices

If you use Mind, MFBP stores what you log there on your iPhone: each day's check-in (how you were feeling, from Rough to Great, and any tags you chose, such as “Work stress” or “Slept well”), and whether you kept each habit you track, such as an alcohol-free day or putting screens away by your chosen time, with an optional number of drinks. If you log a night of sleep yourself, MFBP stores it too: how long you slept and, if you enter them, when you went to bed and woke up, how long you were awake in the night, and how rested you felt. Your Mind goals and your sleep settings are stored on your device too. This is personal health information, so MFBP keeps it on your device, in storage that is never synced to iCloud. If you save your check-ins or the sleep you log to Apple Health (described below), Apple Health holds a copy too, and when you set up MFBP on another device with access to your Health data, MFBP reads back the check-ins and nights it saved there to restore your Mind history. The habits you track are never saved to Health and stay on the device where you logged them.

Mind's practices keep a record on your device too: which practices you did and when, anything you write in them (for example your three good things, or a reply to the week's thought), the 7-day experiments and 14-day series you start and how far you got, the practices you choose to keep with their weekly goals, the thoughts you save, and how you felt after a workout if you answer “How do you feel now?”. These are kept the same way as your check-ins, on your device and never in iCloud. The daily thoughts and practices themselves are built into the app; MFBP doesn't download them or report which ones you see. Patterns, monthly recaps and the comparisons Mind shows after an experiment are worked out on your device from what you've logged.

None of what you log in Mind is sent to MFBP or anyone else, used for advertising, or given to the on-device AI features. If most of your recent check-ins are Rough or Low, the Mind screen may suggest support resources; that check runs on your device and nothing about it leaves your iPhone. Mind offers general wellness information and isn't medical advice.

Apple Health (optional)

MFBP works with Apple Health in several separate ways. Each has its own setting, and each only works after you grant permission in Apple's Health permission screen. You can review or revoke that permission at any time in the Health app or in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

Saving workouts to Health. If you turn on Sync to Apple Health, MFBP writes each completed workout to Health as a workout entry, tagged as strength, cardio, or cross training based on the exercises involved. A workout you track on Apple Watch is saved by your watch instead, and also includes the heart rate and calories your watch measured, the exercises as separate segments, and your effort rating if you give one.

Tracking workouts on Apple Watch (MFBP Pro). If you choose to track a workout on your Apple Watch, the MFBP Watch app runs a workout session that reads your heart rate and active and resting energy burned while you train. MFBP also reads your date of birth from Health to work out heart rate zones. It shows these numbers on your watch and iPhone during the workout and in a recap afterwards. MFBP keeps a small summary of each watch-tracked workout (average and maximum heart rate, calories, time in each heart rate zone, and your effort rating) with that workout in your history. The summary is stored only on your iPhone, in storage that is never synced to iCloud, and it's deleted when you delete the workout from your history.

Reading nutrition and activity (Fuel). If you turn on Fuel (Nutrition on Today), MFBP reads the following from Health:

MFBP uses this only to show your daily calories and macros, what your workouts burned, and your trends, and to suggest calorie and protein goals. This data usually comes from other apps and devices you've connected to Health, such as a food-tracking app or an Apple Watch. MFBP has no connection to those apps and never contacts them.

Counting workouts from other apps. If you turn on Workouts from Apple Health, MFBP reads the workouts other apps and devices save to Health (for example Apple Watch's Workout app or a class from another fitness app), along with the active energy each one burned. MFBP keeps a small record of each one on your iPhone (its type, start and end time, the name of the app that recorded it, and the calories burned), so it can count toward your streak, appear in your streak calendar, and show in Fuel's breakdown of what you burned. Workouts shorter than 10 minutes and workouts MFBP saved itself are skipped. These records are stored only on your iPhone, in storage that is never synced to iCloud. They follow Health: a workout you delete in Health is removed from MFBP, and turning the setting off deletes all of them.

Sleep and mindful minutes (Mind). If you track sleep or mindful minutes in Mind, or start a breathing session, MFBP asks to read your sleep (when you were asleep, and your sleep stages if a device recorded them) and your mindful minutes from Health, and to write mindful minutes. It uses these only to show your sleep and mindful minutes against the goals you set. Each breathing session you finish (30 seconds or longer) is saved to Health as mindful minutes. MFBP doesn't keep a copy of the sleep or mindful minutes it reads; it reads them from Health each time. If you set Mind to use only the sleep you log yourself, MFBP doesn't ask for or read sleep from Health at all.

Saving the sleep you log (Mind, off by default). If you turn on Save to Apple Health in Mind's sleep settings, MFBP asks for permission to write sleep, and each night you log with a bedtime and wake time is saved to Health as time in bed and time asleep. If you change or delete that night in MFBP, MFBP replaces or deletes what it saved. Nights you log as hours only aren't saved to Health. MFBP also asks to read sleep, so that on a new device it can bring back the nights it saved, including how rested you said you felt.

Saving your check-ins (Mind, on by default). On iOS 18 or later, each Mind check-in is saved to Health as a State of Mind entry: how you were feeling, as Health's pleasant-to-unpleasant scale, and any tags that match Health's categories (for example Fitness, Work, Friends or Family), along with your exact choices so MFBP can restore them. MFBP asks for permission to write and read State of Mind the first time. Changing a check-in replaces what MFBP saved for that day. If you answer “How do you feel now?” after a workout while this is on, that answer is saved the same way, as a momentary feeling tied to fitness rather than your mood for the day; changing it replaces it, and MFBP doesn't read these back on a new device. You can turn this off in Mind's settings; check-ins you make while it's off stay only on your device and won't come back if you set up a new one.

Setting up a new device. When MFBP finds settings from iCloud on a device that hasn't been given access to Apple Health yet, Today offers to connect it. Tapping Connect asks, in one Health permission sheet, for the same access you'd given on your other device. MFBP then reads from Health on that device as described above.

Health data MFBP reads is processed on your device. It is not sent to MFBP, sold, shared with anyone, used for advertising or marketing, or given to the on-device AI features. MFBP never copies it into iCloud. The only copies it keeps are on your device: the summary of each watch-tracked workout described above, the record of each workout from another app described above, and a small summary of today's numbers described under Widgets below. MFBP never writes nutrition data to Health. It writes sleep only for nights you log yourself with Save to Apple Health on, State of Mind only for your Mind check-ins while saving them is on, and the only energy data it writes is what your Apple Watch measured during a workout you tracked with it.

Widgets

If you add the Fuel widget, MFBP saves a small summary of today's fuel on your device, in a storage area shared only with MFBP's own widget. The summary holds calories and macros against your goals, and when they were last updated. It lets the widget display without reading Health itself. The summary is replaced as the day's numbers change, and it's removed when you turn Fuel off.

A widget on your Home Screen or Lock Screen can be seen by anyone who can see your device, including while it's locked. Remove the widget if you'd rather keep these numbers private.

Mind reminders (optional)

If you turn on a check-in, wind-down or practice reminder in Mind, MFBP asks for permission to send notifications and schedules them on your device. They're local notifications: nothing is sent to MFBP or any server to deliver them. Their text is general (for example, “How are you feeling?”, “Time to wind down”, or the name of the practice or series step you're on) and doesn't include anything you've written or logged, but like any notification they can appear on your Lock Screen.

Apple Watch companion

If you use the MFBP Watch app, it mirrors your active workout (exercise, step, and set progress) to your paired Apple Watch over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, and relays pause/resume/skip controls back to your phone. If you track a workout on your watch, your heart rate, heart rate zone, calories, workout recap, and effort rating also travel between your watch and your iPhone the same way. If Fuel is on, the watch also shows today's calories left and protein between workouts.

With MFBP Pro, your iPhone also sends your Watch a summary of your day for the watch app and the MFBP watch face complications: your training days this week and your streak, today's calories left, and each Mind item you track with whether it's done today (for example “Check-in” or “Slept 7h 30m”). It only includes the rings you have on in Edit Today. The summary is saved on your Watch in a storage area shared only with MFBP's own complications, and it's replaced as your day changes. A complication on your watch face, like a widget, can be seen by anyone who can see your watch. Remove it if you'd rather keep these numbers private.

All of this stays between your own iPhone and your own Watch. It is not sent to MFBP or anyone else.

Sharing workouts

You can send a workout to someone as a file (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or any app in the share sheet), or as a message in Messages using MFBP's iMessage app. A shared workout contains the workout's name and, for each exercise: its name and type, sets, reps, weights, durations, rest times, and any notes you've added to its sets. It doesn't include your workout history, Health data, or anything else about you.

Shared workouts travel only through the Apple service or app you pick, directly to the people you choose. MFBP never sees them. To offer your workouts inside Messages, MFBP keeps a read-only copy of your saveable workouts in a storage area on your device shared only with its own Messages extension.

When you open a workout someone sent you, MFBP shows a preview and saves nothing until you confirm the import. A preview of a workout file can also appear in Files and Quick Look.

Microphone & speech recognition

If you use the "Describe it" feature to dictate an exercise or workout, MFBP uses your device's microphone and Apple's on-device Speech Recognition to transcribe what you say. Apple Intelligence on your device then turns that text into structured fields. All of this happens entirely on your device. Your voice recording and its transcription are never sent to MFBP, to Apple's servers, or to anyone else.

Subscriptions

MFBP Pro is purchased and managed through your Apple ID via the App Store. Apple handles payment, and MFBP never receives your payment details or identity. The app only checks on your device whether your subscription is active.

Help & feedback reports (optional)

You can report a demo animation that looks wrong (the Report button on a demo), report a problem, or request a feature (Settings › Help & Feedback). A report is sent only when you tap Send on its form. MFBP never sends one on its own.

A report contains:

A report doesn't include your name, email address, Apple ID, workouts, history, Health data, screenshots, or images or recordings of the demo. The form doesn't ask for an email address, so we can't reply to a report. If you'd like an answer, email support@mfbp.io. Please don't type anything into a report that you wouldn't want us to read.

How it's delivered. Reports are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Web3Forms, which emails them to our support inbox. Web3Forms processes reports on our behalf as a data processor. Like any web service, it receives your device's IP address when a report is sent and may pass it to its spam-filtering providers. Web3Forms keeps submissions for up to three years. See the Web3Forms Privacy Policy for details. We use reports only to fix problems, improve the demos, and decide what to build next. We don't sell them, use them for advertising, or combine them with any other data.

Copies on your device. MFBP keeps a copy of your last 50 reports in the app's storage on your device, so you can see them in Settings › Your reports. If a report can't be sent (for example, you're offline), it's saved there and sent automatically the next time you open MFBP, or when you tap Send now. These copies stay on your device, aren't synced to iCloud, and are deleted when you delete the app.

To ask us to delete a report you sent, email support@mfbp.io with roughly when you sent it and what it was about.

Analytics & tracking

MFBP does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We don't know how many times you've opened the app, what you've logged, or who you are. Aggregate, anonymized install and crash statistics may be visible to us only through Apple's standard App Store Connect reporting. Apple provides these to all developers, and they're never tied to your identity.

Third parties

MFBP uses one third-party service: Web3Forms, which delivers the reports and requests you choose to send from Help & Feedback to our support inbox, as described under Help & feedback reports (Web3Forms Privacy Policy). MFBP doesn't share any other data with third parties. The only other services it works with are the optional Apple services described above (iCloud/CloudKit, Apple Health, and Messages), which operate under your own Apple ID and are never routed through MFBP. Fuel can show nutrition, and your streak can count workouts, that other apps have saved to Apple Health, but MFBP reads them from Health only and has no connection to those apps.

Children's privacy

MFBP does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Apart from the reports you choose to send, which don't ask for a name, email address, or any other contact details, MFBP doesn't collect data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note it in the app's release notes.
